Presentations from Y-PLAN De Anza and Kennedy High School focused on equity and access in downtown Oakland for people of all ages, and Richmond High School Health Academy students shared their innovative work currently to offer a class on healthy living to local middle schools working in partnership with Contra Costa Health Services. Mayor Tom Butt "[wants] many of these ideas moved into action, and soon!"

Y-PLAN Students Explore Downtown Richmond
Students participating in the Y-PLAN Richmond Healthy Cities Initiative recently took to the streets of Downtown Richmond to explore the neighborhood and map its strengths and opportunities for improvement. The Richmond Healthy Cities Initiative is a two-year action research effort to provide direct support to Linked Learning Pathways and The California Endowment Building Healthy Communities Initiative through Y-PLAN.
